Formed in 2010, Birdhouse is a group of creative song-writers, poets, and composers that capture the California sound with youthful energy and force. The band has recorded one self-titled EP, a live album and has shared the stage with bands like Melvin Seals & Jerry Garcia Band, The Mother Hips, Jackie Green, The Wooden Sky, Father John Misty (Fleet Foxes), members of Garaj Mahal, OAR, Gomez, and many other bands.

Open Space for Arts & Community is celebrating CiderFest by putting on a Barn Dance, featuring the dazzling singer Jennifer Sutherland and The Barnyard Boys on Saturday, October 13 at 5:00 pm. Before the band plays some kick-up-your-heels country tunes at 6:00 pm, Sandi Silagi will teach some dance steps, including the cuddle, inside and outside turns, and the two-step.

Mark DuFresne and his band return to Vashon and the Red Bike 8 pm Saturday, September 8 for more of the hottest blues happening in the Northwest today. Blues legend, Mark DuFresne and his band had such a fantastic time performing on Vashon last year, in a benefit concert for Vashon Community Care that he’s agreed to return and do it again. It promises to be a night of blues you won’t want to miss!

Cordaviva is a 9-piece powerhouse of dance music influenced by the disparate rhythms and styles of the African diaspora. Their upbeat original music is a unique blend of soukous, rumba, Afro beat, funk, and various Latin styles. Bright horns compliment sublime vocal harmonies (sung in various languages), soulful guitars, and relentlessly driving percussion.

This Southern Californa based group began as a purely acoustic, song-writing band. With very limited expectations and even less money, 200 West released their debut EP "Let’s See Where This Takes Us" to a very warm welcome from fans and listeners alike. The simple 5 track EP accumulated over 25,000 downloads and would lead to countless numbers of shows for the band over a span of several years.
