Since 2008, Ruth and her husband, multi-instrumentalist Johnny Leal, have toured the Western United States numerous times. They've performed in regional music festivals including the Willamette Valley Music Fest, Black Hawk's Solar Cook Off, and Eugene's Grrrlz Rock Concert Series. Melissa and Johnny dub their music "doo-wop twang," recording and gigging as an electric folk 'n blues duo.
