North Indian Classical Music combines traditional melodies and rhythms with dynamic improvisation and spontaneous interaction between musicians, covering the musical spectrum from deeply contemplative to utterly exhilarating.
Arjun is a student of Ali Akbar Khan and has performed in the U.S., Europe, and India, including performances at the United Nations in Switzerland, Prague Castle in the Czech Republic, and Pattee Arena in Monterey, CA. Arjun has performed with musical greats of many genres including Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, Fareed Haque, Kai Eckhardt, and Krishna Das, as well as Indian Classical masters Alam Khan, Sharda Sahai, and Shabbir Nisar.
Ravi is a disciple of Anindo Chatterjee and has performed with many accomplished musicians such as Amjad Ali Khan, Shahid Parvez Khan, Sugato Nag, G.S. Sachdev, Deepak Ram, and many others. He has performed in the Seattle area and throughout the United States and Canada. Ravi is the Executive Director of The Anindo Chatterjee Institute of Tabla, offering ongoing classes, workshops and musical events throughout the year in the Seattle area.
