80-year-old Overton Berry is a Seattle music legend, dazzling pianist, bandleader, composer and baritone whose career spans well over 60 years. A member of the Seattle Jazz Hall of Fame, Berry practiced in the black musicians union hall as a youth (the unions were integrated in 1958) and was immersed in the fabled early Seattle jazz scene since the 1950s, playing with the likes of Diane Schuur, Dee Daniels, and Andre Feriante, as well as fronting his own bands that created a legion of fans.
