Ferry Triangle Route Meeting

In follow-up to our public open houses held in late October regarding revisions to the Fauntleroy/Vashon/ Southworth (triangle) schedule, we are planning two community meetings to get feedback on the proposed schedule option for fall 2014.  WSF has been working for several months with a community and staff steering committee on this project and has incorporated feedback heard at the October meetings. Please join us on Thu., Feb. 27 at McMurray Middle School on Vashon Island. We are proposing revisions to the triangle schedule to make the best use of the added vehicle capacity when the 124-car Cathlamet replaces the 87-car Klahowya on the route this fall. The proposal will be posted online one week prior to the first meeting. For more information on the community meetings and the triangle schedule revision process, visit the project Web page.

The meeting on Vashon will be at the McMurray school. Thursday the 27,  at 6pm.

Subsequent to the last meeting,  a couple of five minute tweaks to the Version A – changed the mid-morning #2 vessel schedule so it followed the #1 by 20 minutes instead of 15 minutes.  I also felt uneasy about the afternoon 3:35 from Fauntleroy to Southworth turning around and leaving Southworth at 4:00 as we’d discussed so I left it at 4:05, return trip from Fauntleroy at 4:45 instead of 4:40 to allow adequate time to load (and subsequent 5 minute adjustments to that vessels’ sailings).
