Community Council Meeting

We all know what CSAs are right? Perhaps not. In addition to a common agricultural marketing term CSAs stand for "Community Service Areas" and Vashon-Maury Island is one of seven in Unincorporated King County. Come to your April 15 Vashon-Maury Island Community Council (VMICC) meeting 7pm, McMurray Middle School to learn how the CSA program affects all of us.
 
This is an important time for this discussion because King County is holding their annual CSA presentation to Vashon-Maury Island on Wednesday, April 10th, 7pm McMurray Middle School. They are bringing out KC Council Representative Joe McDermott, Deputy County Executive Rhonda Berry, and the heads of all of the major KC departments that affect our island.
 
There is going to be a lot of information given at the CSA meeting, much of which could greatly impact the island. Our VMICC meeting gives everyone a chance to learn more through a vigorous discussion about the details presented and the CSA program in general. We also will spend time gathering further questions we have for the County and ways we can get follow-through and oversight. Bring your energy and ideas to this important and informative discussion.
