Art in the Alley

Catalina Quinn is coming to the alley, bringing with her works of wonder, that have never been seen on Vashon Island before.

The vibrant colors that trapeze across her canvases are a joy to behold. Her "Barrio Dogs" inspired by ancestors from the remote canyons of Northern Mexico are so delightful and to be experienced by all ages, they will titillate the child within.

Those from Catalina’s generation may recognize the name as that shared by her father, Anthony Quinn, the actor and well loved artist, or her grandfather, Hollywood producer Cecil B. DeMille. These are big shoes to fill and I’m sure you will find she wears them comfortably.

The event is on the First Friday art walk on September six. No cost though there will be a raffle on some artwork to raise money to keep the gallery open. Kids are welcome and we will provide refreshments also some fabulous live music! Art in the alley is the new name for the former Ignition Gallery and is located behind the Saucy Sisters Pizza. Join us between six and nine and we are expecting quite a crowd as Catalina has never shown on island before .Hope you can make it are you an art lover?
