“Life in Stitches” Quilt Show

The Vashon Quilt Guilds raffle quilt, “Star of the Isle”, purchase a raffle ticket, $1

The Vashon Island Quilt Guild is in its final preparation for the ninth biennial quilt show, to be held June 25th and 26th   at the Vashon High gymnasium. The show theme is “Life in Stitches”.

“Life in Stitches”will be pre show judged by special guests from the La Conner Quilt & Textile Museum and the community will have the opportunity to vote for “Viewer’s Choice” on Saturday the 25.th

The Guild members will be presenting over 200+ quilts.  The show will also include a display of charity quilts supported by the Guild.  These quilts will include American Hero Quilts and lap quilts for both the patients at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and Children’s Hospital.

On display will be the Vashon Quilt Guilds raffle quilt, “Star of the Isle.” This is the last opportunity to see and purchase a raffle ticket, $1 per ticket. The winning ticket will be drawn June 26th at 4pm.

The popular store will again be on hand giving the community a chance to purchase beautiful hand crafted items and other quilt related items.

The location is Vashon High School Gymnasium, June 25th and 26th.  Hours: Saturday, 10am to 6pm and Sunday, 10am to 5pm. Admission $5.00 per person.

Also on display now until the end of June is the beautiful presentation of lap quilts made by Vashon Quilt Guild. These quilts will be given to Fred Hutchinson Cancer and Seattle’s Children’s Hospital honoring the Guilds support for charitable organization.
