Palouse Winery is collaborating with Nirvana Bistro & Bar to create a special five course wine dinner as a fundraiser for the Vashon Maury Community Food Bank. Each course will be skillfully paired with a unique wine from Palouse Winery.
The Vashon Maury Community Food Bank is a vital community supported resource for those who work or live on Vashon Island. In 2012 the organization served 668 families for a total of 1463 family members, or about fifteen percent of Vashon Island’s population. They served an average of 200 families each week and provided groceries for approximately 223,411 meals. Most of the Food Bank’s funding comes from the community, individuals and businesses here on Vashon. This special fundraising event will take place on Wednesday, December 4 at 6:30PM at Nirvana by advance ticket only. The benefit wine dinner costs $100 per person and tickets may be purchased by visiting Nirvana Bistro & Bar or by calling 463-4455 during their regular hours, 3 to 9pm weekdays and 10am to 9pm weekends.
