Get on your track shoes, grab the dog leash, and head to Burton Acres/Jensen Point on Saturday morning, September 8th for the Vashon Island Pet Protectors (VIPP) Dog & People Walk. Don’t own a dog but want to stroll that Burton Loop with dignity and a suitable furry companion? Here’s the answer: NEW at the annual VIPP fund raiser is "Rent Your Rover." Borrow a part-time pooch for the morning! VIPP
will have dogs who are ideal for adoption at Jensen Point on Saturday to walk the Loop with you---- or walk into your life as your new BFF! A small contribution buys a great bit of exercise for both you and the borrowed canine, so "Walk On."
No need to get sponsors or register for the VIPP DOG WALK. Just show up at Burton Acres/Jensen Point 9 am to noon, with your checkbook or a pocket of cash, as this is a VIPP fund raiser as well as a lot of fun for man and his best friend. Great prizes to the three top contributors, donated by Joanna Gardiner & friends: "Loving Care for Animals, Plants and Homes."
If you would like to remember the day a perfect way to do so is to have your "Official Vipp Dog Walk 2012" photo taken with your canine by photographer Cindy Koch. This 5x7, suitable for framing, print can be yours for a donation of your choosing and creates a memory for a life time.
Be sure to stop at the Jensen Park VIPP booth during the VIPP DOG WALK and check out the photos and bios of all the great dogs available for adoption. VIPP merchandise is for sale at Jensen Point as well. Doggie treats and water are provided, of course. "TAKE A GOOD WALK FOR A GOOD CAUSE"
If you can’t make the walk please consider donating to the Dog Walk on line. Go to vipp.org to donate and just note that your donation is for the "Vipp Dog Walk 2012" in the message box. Any and all contributions are deeply appreciated.
