Veterinarian Forum on Animal Health

Harley says "Attend the Veterinarian forum to learn how to keep your animals healthy"

Veterinarians from King County and Washington State Departments of Health will be presenting the latest information regarding diseases that Islanders should be aware of, at a public forum to be held on Thursday, May 24th, at 6:45 P.M. at the McMurray Middle School Multipurpose Room.

Sharon Hopkins, D.V.M, M.P.H. is our King County Public Health Veterinarian, and Ron Wohrle, D.V.M., is the Washington State Department of Health Zoonotic Disease Specialist (a zoonotic disease is one that can be shared by people and animals).  They will present information related to Leptospirosis, Rabies, and intestinal parasites that can have some implications for people.  The public is invited to learn about these diseases and how best to protect yourself from them.

Take advantage of this public outreach, provided by your tax dollars, to have these experts answer your questions and eliminate any confusion you may have about these diseases.
