Vashon’s Own Road Show

Antique appraisals at bargain prices, silent and live auctions will be taking place Saturday, September 7, from 10a.m. till 2p.m. in the back garden of the Vashon-Maury Island Heritage Museum.
 
This is the second year for "Treasures In Your Attic", the Museum’s end-of-summer fundraiser. About 400 people attended last year, attracted by the opportunity of having antiques, collectibles, and curios appraised at rock bottom prices. Offering their services as a gift to the help the Museum, appraisers, dealers, and experts will provide information and market value. Attendees can bring paintings, silver, clocks, music boxes, decorative art, antiques, vintage jewelry, fine gems, books, tools, watches, Native American art, curios etc. The experts for this year’s event are:

Gallery manager and appraisals: David Weatherford Antiques & Interiors, Seattle, decorative art collector; Mike Urban, collector and second-hand dealer for over 30 years and owner of Vashon Estate Sales & Property Liquidation Services. 18th and 19th Century tools, primitives, utensils, curios; Kjell Urban, avid collector and expert recognizing WWII memorabilia, medals, military hardware; John Pearce, owner of Vashon’s Monarch Gallery and appraiser for art glass, paintings, Native American art, a member of Christie’s Institute, International Society of Appraisers; Chai Mann, specializing in fine jewelry, gems, watches and owner of Fox’s Gem Shop, Seattle; Marci Christopher, specializing in vintage jewelry, household items and owner, Treasure Island Antiques and Consignment Shop, Vashon, and Estate Sales Services; Patricia Nesland, University of Washington Certificate in Family History Research and Genealogy. 10+ years experience.
