Islewilde Mother of All Shows

Show mom how special she is this Mother’s Day! Bring the whole family out for a unique night of music, poetry, juggling, and performance comedy and drama at The Mother of All Shows, Saturday, May 10th, 8:00Pm, at The Red Bicycle Bistro and Sushi.
 
This year’s show will be hosted by Vashon’s own Steffon Moody, and features a wide variety of artists and entertainers, including, but not limited to: John Browne, Duo Finelli, Iris Spring, Hans Nelson, Tab Scott, Thaddeus Jurczynski, Janessa Wight, Patrick McManus, Steve Lipke, Llama John Heaveside, and Tessa Mae Schumacher.
 
The suggested donation for tickets is ten dollars. People under 18 are free! This benefit show is for the 22nd annual IsleWilde summer arts festival. Supported also by a King County 4Culture grant, this year’s festival performance weekend will be Friday and Saturday, August 22nd and 23rd, on Old Mill Road, with free workshops for all several weeks before as we create lanterns, sets, puppets, music and props for the festival. Our traditional lantern walk starts Friday, at dusk.

Celebrating its 22nd season, IsleWilde is an ever-changing community of friends and families. We are right here from Vashon, and over the years many ARTISTS have travelled here to share in our unique arts community : British Columbia, Puerto Rico, Minnesota, Ohio, Quebec, New York, Spain, Taiwan, Hope, and Indonesia.
 
We come together in the spirit of creativity and write shows, make puppets, masks, villages, music, dinner, you name it. There will be experienced creation professionals on hand to help you unearth/unleash your creative potential. If you want to teach a specific workshop/skill we would love that.
 
IsleWilde is a “Free for all” festival. No money is required for any of our workshops or performances, and the DIY spirit rules. Show up any time and create. We will have some art supplies on hand, but if you have some to contribute, please bring them.
